Despite Rome being sometimes quite noisy, the room we got was really quiet, comfy and enjoyable. I think it was the master suite, really for two, with very generous space. Breakfast was good and on the last day we just found out there is the entrance to metro station just around the corner. Staff was really helpful, room cleanliness was excellent

I am always sorry when I cannot give positive feedback but sometimes is would be really easy to improve the customer experience, especially if you are a 3 star hotel asking for around 300 euros per night… We had several, unpleasant issues with the wc, in the bathroom nothing available to leave your personal stuff and, after the cleaning service, a dirty glass was exactly where it was. They offer a drink to apologize for the wc inconvenient (we didn’t accept it) but no one from the maintenance came For that price it’s not acceptable

This hotel has become our Home away from Home when we visit Rome. We have stayed 2 years in a row in the September timeframe. The hotel is exceptionally clean and private, and this is what I love of this hotel Privacy. T his is a very small hotel, that feels private and exclusive. There are not big signs advertising the hotel, if you do not know it is there no one else will either and that is a good thing. So, when you are staying in the Shire feels like your own residency. The staff is friendly and accomodating. In our last stay we had such personalize experience with the staff ensuring we could get transportation to the train station early in the morning and offering to stand with us outside so we could get a Taxi. The rooms are beautiful and classy, understated but elegant at the same time. You are greated with a complementary botle of wine in your room a nice touch specially in a day and age that hotels nickel and dime you for everything. We have chosen the Corner suite both time we have stayed at the Shire and that room does not disappoints. One thing to mention is that even thought you are basically on top of Harry's bar you do not hear any nosie from outside and you can relax and enjoy the room. I want to thank Maria Luisa for her exceptional care and attention during our stay.

Run by lovely friendly helpful people. Small hotel, well situated, far enough away from the main drag to be quiet but close enough to be walkable to the metro or city centre . Clean, comfy beds, changed every other day, v adequate breakfasts, (so what if coffee is machine made) fridge in room, air con, good shower, plentiful toiletries . Couldn’t fault it for the price . I’m fussy and use 5* hotels often. This was great and I would happily return/recommend. Thanks for a lovely stay

The staff was very friendly. The hotel was clean. The beds were also very comfortable. Location was perfect. We were close enough to walk everywhere but it was far enough away to be a quiet location. The breakfast was just what we needed. I would not hesitate to stay there again.
